Get up close and listen to Sari Dalena and Paolo Villaluna, two independent filmmakers in the Phillipines – as they take us through their own journey of personal artistic processes and dealing with censorship in the Philippines.
Sari Dalena is an independent filmmaker with a MFA in Film Production from New York University. Her filmography has garnered international acclaim and awards. In 2012, her Martial Law drama, Ka Oryang was awarded “Best Picture” and “Best Director” prizes at the Cinema One Originals Film Festival.
Paolo Villaluna is an acclaimed filmmaker whose films have been screened in major international film festivals like Montreal, Busan, Thessaloniki, Rotterdam and Yamagata among others. His last film ‘Pauwi Na’ won the Golden Goblet in Shanghai IFF 2017

She is driven by a question, “What happens to people after they die?” With a mother who is sick, and an ever-present father who is caring as he is devoted, will Aisyah be able to find the answer to what she seeks?
