FreedomFilmFest 2017 was successfully launched on the 17th March 2017 at the PJ Live Arts theatre  in Petaling Jaya. About 150 people were present to help us kick off this year’s festival call for entries and watch two documentaries – Seeking Justice by Norhayati Kaprawi and Hooligan Sparrow by Nanfu Wang.

We also announced the formation of the FREEDOM FILM NETWORK  (FFN) that is dedicated to the development, production and impact of social films in Malaysia.

You can now submit your films for consideration for the festival screening which will take place from 2-9th September 2017. The deadline for submissions is 1st of June 2017.  More information and online registration here

Small Film Grants are also available for Malaysians and Singaporeans who are interested to make a social film.
