The IDFA Pitch is open to any filmmaker who wishes to pitch their social and environmental justice film project at FFF2018 and will stand the chance to win a grant to participate in the IDFA Academy and the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam in November 2018.

Documentaries pitched can be at any stage from early production to near completion but should focus on social issues in Malaysia. Filmmakers who pitch their documentary should also commit to submitting their documentary to IDFA 2019. Successful applicants will participate in this IDFA workshop and will get to pitch their stories on October 4th (Thursday) from 11am -1pm. This year we are proud to bring together two award-winning filmmakers to mentor the IDFA workshop and pitching session – Huang Hui-Chen and Joakim Demmer.

IDFA Pitch is supported by the IDFA and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Malaysia.

Attendance to the workshop and pitching session is by invitation only.
