Film Synopsis:

When the US Army withdrew from Iraq in 2011, it left a country in decay after years of fighting and sectarian violence. Male nurse Nori Sharif lives in Jalawla, one of the most dangerous areas of central Iraq. The film maker gives him a small camera. Over the next five years he uses this camera (and often only a mobile phone) to record the stories of people who have survived the war. As a sensitive observer he reveals the helplessness of families afflicted by death or mutilation, but also their will to live, while violence rages unabated around them. He thus becomes part of a war in which even a neighbour can be an enemy from whom there is nowhere to hide.
