Apabila tanah-tanah milik komuniti Punan Ba di Belaga, Sarawak dilesenkan kepada syarikat balak dan perladangan tanpa kebenaran komuniti, Gebril Atong dan komuniti bertindak untuk mempertahankan wilayah adat mereka. Sumber-sumber kini telah dikeluarkan daripada tanah Orang Asal tetapi Orang Asal masih tidak mendapat sebarang pampasan atau hasil. Situasi ini telah lama berlaku, adakah ini merupakan bentuk penjajahan baru?
The Punan Ba community in Belaga Sarawak defended their ancestral land against logging companies and plantations obtained licenses to conduct activities on the land. This form of practice has gone on for a long time where the local indigenous peoples did not give their consent, and were never properly compensated. Is this in fact a new form of colonialism?

Albert Bansa is documentary filmmaker from Dalat, Sarawak who is passionate about strengthening indigenous narratives through his films.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Gebril Atong is an indigenous human rights defender from the Punan Ba community in Sarawak. In 2014, Gebril led his community to sue the Sarawak government and seven timber and plantation companies for violating their native customary rights.
